club touch

Exeter Touch Rugby

Join in at club training every Thursday night, from 18:45 to 21:00 at St James School, Summer Lane, Exeter, EX4 8NN.

We are a mixed club who welcome men and women with any level of experience. Our squad includes newcomers through to current international players.

Our club side, the Exeter Eagle Owls was formed in 2014 and named after a local owl causing mischief near our training pitch and the No. 307 Polish Night Fighter Squadron from the City of Lwów, nicknamed the ‘Eagle Owls’, who defended Exeter City during the Blitz. Since forming our players have achieved regional, national and international honours.

We compete on average once a fortnight across a variety of competitions from local fixtures through to the England Touch National Series and International Tours.

The club is coached by members of the South West England and England coaching teams and our players have gone on to represent the South West England and International Squads at both Open and Masters Age Grades.

Our squad also includes nationally qualified referees and coaches, and we’re always seeking to encourage new volunteers – so there’s a space for you, whatever your motivation.

Everyone is welcome to join in our club training, however if you’ve never played Touch Rugby before we’d recommend you try out one of our Social Monday sessions first to pick up the basics. No membership required, just pay £3 per session and your first session is always free!

All sessions require pre-booking, and sign up links are posted on our social media.
